Chasetown Civil Engineering add EValuate estimating software to manage the full project life cycle

August 24, 2020

Chasetown Civil Engineering are a market leading civil engineering business based in Staffordshire that specialise in infrastructure, groundworks and related building services with project values ranging between £100,000 and £50m.

Chasetown have been using Eque2’s Construct for Sage Accounts since 2016 to manage their business finances and projects effectively and were looking to expand this to include a solution to manage their estimating processes that will help them manage the full project lifecycle from estimate to final account.

Currently using Excel spreadsheets to manage their estimating processes, the business was struggling as the Quantity Surveyors were not getting the information from the estimate such as the costs and budgets associated to a job they required. Reporting was also inaccurate against their estimates, this meant manual work was required to get the correct figures which was extremely time consuming for the business.

As a current Eque2 user, Chasetown were really keen to explore Eque2’s EValuate estimating software as the solution offered full integration with their current Construct for Sage solution that would enable them to manage the full project lifecycle within one fully integrated solution.

EValuate will allow the business to produce fast accurate tenders, and once won vital information such as project costs and budgets will be automatically sent to Construct for Sage Accounts meaning the finance, commercial and estimating teams can accurately report and track the costs associated with a job – improving communication and saving time across their business.

The business also opted to include the powerful integrated On-screen Takeoff tool which will allow them to perform a fast accurate On-screen Takeoff from all file types, with enhanced CAD model and BIM model functionality.
