Integration with EVision
The estimating team was initially using a different estimating solution, but it resulted in duplication of processes and silos across the business as it did not integrate with other business systems. As a business, the decision was made to implement EValuate alongside Eque2’s ERP solution EVision as EValuate is the only solution that fully integrates with this.
Flexibility for the team
John Herbert, Senior Estimator who has been with Kingerlee since 2005 commented: ‘We are a busy team working on multiple projects at one time, therefore having the ability to view and work on each other’s projects if required and share information held within the system is a great benefit for us’.
EValuate estimating software helps produce fast, accurate and consistent tenders as they are created using the same information across the team. In addition, the software provides historical cost data for all projects, which can then be used on future projects saving time and avoiding customer-specific islands of expertise.
Achieving objectives
Alongside assisting Kingerlee with gaining efficiencies, the consistency EValuate provides also helps the business achieve better management control. John advised: ‘Managing all our estimating activities through one solution makes reviewing projects faster and easier for me as the estimates produced across the team are uniform’.
A key objective for Kingerlee is on the ongoing development of their employees and of their technical knowledge and abilities, which EValuate contributes to. EValuate estimating software removes more of the manual and administrative tasks associated with estimating allowing the team to focus on the use and development of their skills and knowledge to create accurate estimates.
John also highlighted ‘Overall, we are happy using EValuate as it is easy to use and helps us consistently create estimates with the confidence that they are accurate each time’.
